The Biomedical technologist’s job is primarily concerned with the performance of both routine and special laboratory tests as well as assists the clinical staff to ensure high quality of laboratory obtainable results and their interpretation. However, the exact nature of these tasks is influenced by disease patterns within the catchments area of the work environment the job also involve controlled preparation and reconstitution of reagents needed in the diagnostic work, maintenance of equipment and stocks used and setting up necessary apparatus.
