Evelyn Hone College has embarked on a project to spear head the use of open source software. The college has partnered with fair international of Norway to facilitate Capacity building and acquiring of equipment. Open Source Software is software which can be used without paying license fees which are not affordable. The software which include operating systems and application software can be used as they are or can be modified to meet ones needs. The project will also involve distribution of computers to Schools and Colleges, NGOs and Civil Society.
