The Academic and Applied Science department has academic staff strength of ten (10) with the following breakdown:

Msc –one (1)

Bsc –six (6)

Diploma –two (2)

Part- Time –two (2)

Full-Time –eight (8)

The lecturers have additional teaching qualifications and postgraduate diplomas and Accredited to the national regulatory body TEVETA.

The current head of department is Mr. J.K.Wilberforce and the head of section is Mr.B. Mulenga.

The non-academic staff consists of one (1) administrative staff (secretary to the HOD) and Three (3) laboratory technicians.
